Anyone who has been on an international flight knows the feeling. Lugging bags across the terminal, waiting in the long lines to depart, zipping through the air in a cramped seat with only little bags of pretzels and the excitement of your destination keeping you from going crazy. And when you finally land, all you want to do is grab your bags, check into your hotel, take a shower and a nap. That is exactly how Carly felt when her and Joe landed in London for their vacation this past August. Joe, on the other hand, had a different plan. One that he had been planning for months. Joe suggested they stroll around the beautiful garden nearby and Carly almost protested when Joe asked a stranger to take their picture. After all, she had just spent the last several hours traveling. Little did Carly know, her life was about to change. Instead of a picture, the stranger was asked to take a video and before Carly could process what was happening, Joe was on one knee asking for forever. Bonus points to Joe for thinking to have it all on video!
From being able to watch their engagement video at our coffee date, to hearing about the puppy they adopted together, we knew that Carly and Joe were our kind of people. Not only did they brave the cold for their engagement session, but they were willing to hike up trails and did it all with the best sense of humor. One of my favorite parts of an engagement session is seeing how our couples can always make each other laugh. Being in front of a camera together for the first time is never easy (which is why we love engagement sessions!) but Carly and Joe were able to not only laugh about it together, but were able to laugh at themselves as well. Carly and Joe, we could not thank you enough for trusting us and our crazy ideas! We are so excited to celebrate with you in July as you become husband and wife!
