When one of our favorite couples from 2017 said they wanted to have a destination wedding in Maine, we knew that we would have to make a mini vacation out of it. Jon and I spent the long Fourth of July weekend hiking, eating lobster, and spending a ton of time on boats exploring the beautiful area. We spent some time in Portland, Freeport, and then drove to Acadia National Park. Renting bikes and riding around the stunning park was the highlight of our trip. We had a few summer storms roll in, but they made the pictures (and the memories) even better! I saw my first double rainbow ever and got to watch fireworks from a boat. I have to say, we loved this little getaway and can’t wait to explore more National Parks in the future – we will take any recommendations!
