As a wedding photographers, we worry about the weather, timeline, and things going smoothly just as much as our sweet couples. The weather was calling for a chance of showers the whole week, but as we drove to HollyHedge Estate the skies cleared and the sun came out. When we entered the getting ready room to music and laughter, we knew it was going to be a good day!
As Maureen put on her veil, she couldn’t help but exclaim that she was both so nervous and excited to see Marcus for their first look. The best part was that Marcus was feeling the same exact way on the other side of the venue! The moment they saw each other and embraced, it was clear that those nerves diminished and their was nothing but smiles and happy tears. We absolutely love when our couples do first looks for that reason. The whole point of a wedding day is to celebrate your love so it makes sense to be able to spend most of the day with the person you are promising forever to! With a first look you get to do just that!
Maureen and Marcus are just so incredibly genuine and caring. The way they look at each other just melted my heart. While their love for each other was palpable, it was also clear that relationships with their friends and family are also important. During the maid of honor and best man speeches, there was one phrase that stuck out to me that seemed to describe both Maureen and Marcus: constant companion.
